This report summarises successes and learning of the five year partnership between the Centre for Ageing Better, Leeds City Council, and Leeds Older People’s Forum, centred on ‘what works’ to make Leeds a better place to live and age for anyone aged 50+. Using key statistics, examples of local and national impact, and interviews with staff and elected officials, it illustrates how joint work on age-friendly homes, transport, neighbourhoods and employment have influenced local and national practice, and how this work can continue to support the city’s ambition to become the best place to grow old in.
