LOPF is working in partnership with The Performance Ensemble to develop creative approaches to delivering healthy ageing messages. The project is funded by Leeds City Council Public Health.
About this project
The aim of Creative Healthy Ageing is to develop tested and effective community-based engagement approaches to inform a fresh city-wide approach to Public Health messaging using creative expression.
Grants are available to test out different creative approaches to delivering Public Health healthy ageing messages, based on a ‘Test, learn, develop’ ethos.
About the grant
LOPF is inviting you to apply for a grant of up to £5k for a 12 month project using creative approaches to deliver one priority Public Health message, which can be chosen from the following:
- Mental Health and social isolation
- Physical activity, movement and building strength
- Food and drink
- Men’s Health and wellbeing
You can choose any creative expression approach to deliver the message to groups of older people aged 60+. The funding can be used to work with experienced creative practitioners.
In addition The Performance Ensemble will be funded to work with successful applicants to support you in developing your creative approaches to public health messaging.
Applications will be considered for new projects and for projects which build on existing work.
Who can apply?
Applications will be accepted from any third sector organisation from small community groups to larger registered charities. Organisations must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the needs identified, engage with and work to support older people 65+ living in Leeds. Organisations must have a bank account.
