I have recently joined the team as Project Support Worker for the Travel With Confidence project which, when up and running, aims to help people with disabilities to regain confidence using public transport through travel training and working with taxi, bus and training companies. I’m looking forward to championing the importance of creating inclusive and adaptable transport services to reduce the barriers older people face in accessing their communities
I come from working for many years in the voluntary sector in Leeds. Most recently I was a Mental Health Practitioner at Northpoint. Before that I worked for a number of years with Age UK Leeds on projects which focused on mental health, frailty and dementia.
Outside of work I have a busy family life with two children (aged 7 and 2). In my down time I can be found exploring in the Yorkshire Dales or curled up on the sofa knitting or crocheting.
