In March among other activities, we have…
- Advertised a funding opportunity to deliver an Enhance project in the Yeadon area.
- Delivered a men’s health awareness session as part of Public Health’s Create – Explore Health intervention pilots.
- Marked International Women’s Day with a focus on three local activists
- Attended Unlocking Impact Workshops, delivered by Pro Bono Economics, to learn more about economic evaluation and how this may support LOPF’s work
- An intergenerational group of the Age Friendly Steering Group & the Preservative attended Cross Gates Shopping Centre and Trinity Leeds and promoted Age Action Day
- Delivered Wise Up To Ageism to Trinity Leeds staff
- Delivered Indoor Air Quality workshops at Armley Helping Hands and CrossGates Good Neighbours to over 70 people
- Hosted an Age Friendly Ambassador get together at Armley Leisure Centre with an Ageing Better theme. The event had taster sessions on walking football from Your Back Yard, dance from Yorkshire Dance and health checks from Leeds Beckett’s Carnegie School of Sport
- Had some very positive media coverage about the Mature Driver Appraisal.
- Finished all the BOSS resources ready for publishing including helping Sarah Alden with the BOSS Toolkit
- Supported the final BOSS classes
In April, we expect to…
- Start to deliver the Men’s Health Unlocked community work as part of a staggered start, and continue to put planning in place for the new project.
- Share the Enhance Year 2 evaluation report prepared by the independent evaluation team
- Induct Enhance delivery partners on the new monitoring and evaluation requirements for Year 3
- Collaborate with Travel with Confidence delivery partners to create new monitoring and evaluation processes ready for start of this 3-year programme
- Deliver a Dementia Friends and Wise Up To Ageism to Hyde Park Picture House Staff and Ghyll Royd Care Home Staff
- Support Dementia Friendly Horsforth awareness event by hosting a Friendly Communities Stall
