- Compiled and published a summary of our Enhance conference , ‘people ● prevention ● partnership’
- Published a series of three videos about the impact of Enhance
- Got some great mentions of Men’s Health Unlocked at the Health & Social Care Select Committee in parliament
- Collect final monitoring returns from BOSS delivery partners
- Took part in digital online safety podcast with Chapel FM – out in January
- Interviewed by Louise Sellers from NHS for LCP Digest on Google Translate work and how we can take it wider across Leeds
- Reflected on the Importance of communities as we age.
- Taken part in the Jo Cox Foundation event ‘A wave of Connections’, at Leeds Playhouse, and met groups and organisations from across West Yorkshire
- Welcomed our colleagues from Brighton & Hove Age and Dementia Friendly who attended the Age Friendly Partnership on Healthy Ageing and supported a visit to RHEA
In January 2024, we expect to…
- Share focus group findings on the topic of driving safely for longer and retiring from driving
- Deliver Google Translate training to staff from NHS, Third sector and Local Care Partnerships, alongside 100% Digital Leeds
- Deliver the final session for the Warm Welcome network, ‘Finding the older people you’d really like to welcome’ with my GPM colleague Jo Stapleton
- meet with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to help them revise the loneliness section of their Safe and Well training
- Deliver Wise Up to Ageism to Anchor Housing, OWLS, Trinity Leeds and Bramley Elderly Action
- Deliver Dementia Friends to South Leeds PCN GP Surgeries, Zurich Insurance and Thornton Medical Practice
- The Age Friendly Steering Group will be consulting with West Yorkshire Combined Authority on the plans for Thorpe Park Train Station
- Promote the Mature Driver Appraisal scheme
- have a break over Christmas and new year, and come back ready for more work
