Here is a brief selection of our recent work, and what we expect to be doing next month.
In November, among other activities, we have…
- Published the Healthy, Warm and Well end-of-grant report
- Held a conference – people ● prevention ● partnership: Sharing learning from year 2 of the Enhance programme – for stakeholders
- Took 20 BOSS learners to Virgin Money for a talk on online banking and staying safe with Leeds Irish Health & Homes and Health for All
- Completed all six work books for the BOSS course for partners to use with learners
- Started 11 new BOSS learners at the Sumangal centre in Roundhay
- Delivered Enhance and BOSS monitoring and evaluation inductions for new delivery partner staff
- Delivered a Dementia Friends session to the staff team at Manston Surgery in Cross Gates
- Met with Network Rail to discuss the Age Friendly Steering Group’s report of Leeds Train Station and recommended actions
- Delivered Good Practice Mentor Training to another group of people from across the UK, and one person in the States
- Supported Get Online Week, through social media and an event
- Attended THE COLDEST conference ever – the 10 year celebration of ABCD work in Leeds, and met lots of interesting people!
In December, we expect to…
- Deliver BOSS training sessions to wider staff at Health for All to upskill more staff
- Deliver Google Translate sessions to wider staff in Leeds
- Collect data from delivery partners to inform the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of Enhance
- Deliver Dementia Friends to Thornton Medical Centre, Armley & to GP surgeries within South Leeds PCN
- Deliver Wise Up to Ageism to staff and volunteers from OWLS and Bramley Elderly Action
- Run training with colleagues from the Good Practice Mentor team, the Jo Cox Foundation and and Camerados for groups who hope to run Great Winter Get Togethers
- Join Richard Evans at the Connection Coalition as a guest host for an informal get together
