Here is a brief summary of our recent work, and what we expect to be doing next month …
February 2021
Our staff team continues to work effectively from home, with the challenges that brings.
We have:
- distributed over 5,000 copies of the February issue of Shine magazine
- held contract meetings with delivery partners to update on the Covid response
- launched a freelance opportunity for the development and promotion of Age & Dementia Friendly Businesses
- launched part 2 of Diverse Voices
- delivered skills share opportunities for Neighbourhood Networks
- held a Neighbourhood Networks Digital Working Group meeting
- delivered the first of a 6 month series of Leadership webinars for Neighbourhood Network managers
- delivered Time to Learn sessions for Time to Shine delivery partners
- delivered a national webinar with partners 100% Digital and Age UK Leeds on breaking down barriers to digital inclusion for older people
- presented the year 7 plan for Time to Shine to the Age Friendly Partnership
- launched a new round of small funds with Leeds Community Foundation for intergenerational projects
- delivered more public Wise Up To Ageism sessions
- continued to support the Age Friendly Steering Group and Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project group
March 2021
Among other activities during this month, we expect to:
- agree a visual identity for our forthcoming LOPF/TTS website
- deliver a joint TTS/Neighbourhood Network SkillShare on the Census 2021
- survey of current and planned digital service provision by Neighbourhood Networks
- survey of Neighbourhood Networks’ advice and support role for Pension Credits
- deliver the March issue of Shine magazine
- do a presentation for the Centre for Ageing Better about Age Proud Leeds
- train Time to Shine staff on GDPR
- appoint a freelance business development worker to promote the Age & Dementia Friendly Business scheme
- deliver a Wise Up To Ageism session to Dementia Friendly Leeds
- deliver a webinar on Age Proud Leeds – ‘Working Together to Tackle Ageism’ – to support the launch of the National Co-production Toolkit
- continue to support frontline practitioners in their Covid response and preparation for the lifting of lockdown
- present at the Campaign to End Loneliness event – Loneliness in the Time of Covid-19 – on some of the challenges of supporting people.
- open commissioning for a new project to support older LGBT+ people and support organisations to be LGBT+ friendly and inclusive
- develop online training for our Co-production toolkit
