Here is a brief summary of our recent work, and what we expect to be doing next month…
December 2020
Our staff team continues to work effectively from home, with the challenges that brings.
We have:
- delivered over 5,000 copies of the December issue of Shine magazine to over 40 distributors across the city including care homes
- launched the Leeds Neighbourhood Networks evaluation report
- facilitated a digital Christmas social event with TTS delivery partners
- promoted the Age and Dementia Friendly Business guide across Leeds
- supported NNS’s with changing national Covid19 restrictions
- continued to hold weekly skills share sessions with Neighbourhood Networks
- published learning briefings on The Leeds Directory, Resilience in Lockdown and How to write a blog.
- continued to promote and celebrate Time to feel good about ageing
- gathered information about festive activities for older people and shared
- prepared the new co-production toolkit and associated training for launch in January 2021
- begun to develop plans for intergenerational projects in partnership with Leeds Community Foundation
- worked with public health colleagues on the new campaign ‘Take Care Leeds‘
- launched ‘Listening Ear’ the Neighbourhood Networks business development project
- supported delivery partners to prepare for Covid compliant Christmas activities
- worked with LCC Public Health to develop a Best practice guide for restarting support and delivering services
January 2021
Among other activities during this month, we expect to:
- initiate Neighbourhood Networks Manager and Chair zoom sessions
- continue to work with Neighbourhood Network Schemes and Leeds Art Gallery on the Natural Encounters creative arts project
- facilitate a Neighbourhood Networks Skills Share on Older people and equalities, with a focus on older people with learning disabilities
- launch the co-production toolkit and training programme
- prepare to launch the intergen small funds round
- contribute to a national co-production toolkit
- plan for another year of Age Friendly Leeds work, and Age Proud Leeds work
- launch Diverse Voices, the Age Proud Leeds podcast
