Leeds Irish Health & Homes launched the Cara Too service, funded by Time to Shine, in 2018 to address social isolation in the community, in care homes and sheltered housing schemes.
Cara Too is now launching a monthly Monday Fun evening social group for anyone over the age of fifty to make new friends and reconnect with their community. The group aims to always meet in the evenings to ensure it is accessible to those who have daytime commitments.
Ant Hanlon, CEO, Leeds Irish Health & Homes said:
“We believe social events like this relieve loneliness and isolation and encourage people to be as active as possible”
The first Monday Fun social group meeting will be held on Monday 11 November, 6.00-8.00 pm at The Three Hulats, Chapel Allerton, LS7 3NB. The group will meet every second Monday of the month at the Three Hulats, or an alternative venue to do an agreed activity.

Leeds Irish Health & Homes supports both the Irish and wider community under its ethos of Care, Culture and Community.
