You are invited to the launch of a new Arts and Health and Wellbeing network, developed by the Cultural Institute (University of Leeds) in partnership with Leeds City Council and other organisations across Leeds. The event will take place on Thursday 24 January, 12.00-2.00 in Room 700, Leeds Central Library.
By attending, you will be able to shape the development of a city-wide network which aims to connect and support people who use arts and health services, their families, practitioners, and researchers involved with arts, health and wellbeing. The network will facilitate discussion between different sectors and enable its members to form collaborative groups in areas of shared interest.
This event is open to all. We welcome anyone with an interest or experience of arts and health to register. In particular we are interested in connecting clinicians and public health practitioners with people who use arts and health services, together with researchers who are investigating health and wellbeing through the lens of arts and culture, artists whose practice broadly addresses issues of health and wellbeing, creative and cultural sector professionals and third sector organisations.
Findings from the network will contribute to a wider programme of work, including a major conference at the University of Leeds in June 2019 focusing on arts and health activity for and by children and young people.
