I joined Time to Shine as Administration Officer in August – many thanks to my colleagues for their friendly welcome to the office.

Having previously spent ten years working at an environmental charity, the work of Time to Shine is a new area for me. I’m enjoying finding out about the projects of our delivery partners and the work ongoing in Leeds to help older people be less isolated and lonely, more actively involved in their communities, and to have their views and participation valued more highly.

The value of collaboration and co-production is recognised in Time to Shine and its great to see the commitment to making older people more engaged in the design and delivery of services that improve their social connections.

In the remaining three years of the programme I’m looking forward to supporting the admin side of Time to Shine, including the monitoring and evaluation work where the active learning from the programme is recorded and presented.
