Time to Shine Celebration Event
Friday 25 May 11am-1pm Leeds City Museum, Millenium Square, Leeds LS2 8BH
Join us in the gorgeous Brodrick Hall, at Leeds City Musuem, as we celebrate three years of Time to Shine, look back at what we’ve achieved to date, and look forward to the new projects.
We don’t like to show off but we’d love to show you the projects that form Time To Shine.
This is your chance to meet and mingle with our delivery partners and find out about the great work they do to improve the lives of older people in Leeds.
It’s time to celebrate the success of past and present projects and highlight the wonderful new projects which are just getting started.
There will be stalls with project Delivery Partners, workshops and activities, and plenty of opportunities to network.
Currently planned activities include two workshops on the theme of co-production:
Yorkshire Dance
Led by Yorkshire Dance, this workshop will explore how Young at Arts successfully embedded co-production by older people into the planning and delivery of a programme of arts events.
Volunteer Listeners
This workshop will explore how the Volunteer Listeners pilot, initiated and led by an older volunteer, uses this model as an alternative way of capturing the stories of older people to complement the local evaluation.
Workshop places are limited but the entire event is open to the public and a more detailed programme will be distributed closer to the date.
We also have entertainment from The Performance Ensemble and a light lunch will be served (on a first come first served basis) towards the end of the event.
The event is free to attend. Please click here to book your place so that we can get an idea of numbers for refreshments.
