Bee Together is happy to welcome Students from Leeds University’s Sociology in Action-Urban Impact Programme: Abbey Fish and Louis Prosser.
The School of Sociology and Social Policy, through this programme, have created unique opportunities for students to carry out research in partnership with third sector organisations.
Anna-Marie Garbutt, Project Coordinator of Bee Together, says: “Abbey and Louis will be a great asset to the project and we are looking forward to working and learning together.”
Abbey and Louis will be helping Anna-Marie in her research into the causes of loneliness and social isolation within the Older Learning Disabled community.
Bee Together is looking into and testing different ways of combatting these problems such as, from initial findings, supporting people on evenings and weekends to be more socially active.
