The impending crisis in social care gets frequent coverage in the news these days, and the Third Sector has a huge stake in the issues.
This year, our Annual General Meeting will give us a chance to have a frank discussion about it, and hear from national and local experts on what can and needs to be done.
Thursday 20 July
St George’s Centre
Registration from 10am, programme starts at 10:30
Anna Dixon, the Executive Director from the Centre for Ageing Better, will give a keynote address to shed light on the national context, and Carol Burns, Manager of MAECare, will talk about what third-sector organisations are facing in Leeds.
Amy Garcia of BBC Look North, will then moderate a panel discussion featuring Cath Roff, Director of Adults and Health at Leeds City Council, Kerry Jackson, Chief Executive of St Gemma’s Hospice and the Third Sector Representative to the Heath and Wellbeing Board, and Sue Robins, Directory of Commissioning, Strategy and Performance at Leeds West CCG.
Questions for the panel will be solicited from attendees ahead of time. Register here.
