The Jo Cox Commission is promoting a Great Get Together around the country in June. Armley Helping Hands is joining in with a 60s disco!
Loneliness and social isolation were both very important issues to Jo Cox. The Jo Cox Commission on Loneliness has been set up in her memory to start a national conversation about what drives us apart, and what can bring us back together.
To mark the anniversary of her death, people around the country will be organising events–large and small–to bring their communities together.
Armley Helping Hands, a great supporter of Time to Shine, is joining in with a dance party to bring us “Back to the Swinging 60s” at St. Bartholomew’s Church Hall.
Entertainment includes singer Miss Natasha Harper and DJ Daniel Horan.
