Time to Shine had a lovely afternoon at sunny Hunslet

Time to Shine had a prime position just by the main entertainment area so were really in the thick of all the action. We were so close that as well as talking about time to shine all day Rachel and Hanna also managed to learn a few cheer-leading routines (we just need Time to Shine branded pom-poms now!)

We had lots of interest in our stall and our temporary tattoos went down really well with everybody. People were queuing up to get them done so they could spread the word about Time to Shine and preventing loneliness in older age.  Pretty much everybody that stopped and talked to us knew somebody that would benefit from one of our projects; whether that was a family member or a neighbor. It really showed the importance of making people aware of what was available in their community for older people as the majority of attendees had no idea that services like ours existed.

Hunslet Gala had a fantastic community feel to it and it was great to use it as a platform to promote Time to Shine and all the amazing work our delivery partners are doing to make Leeds a better place to grow old in.
