The second round of Small Funds has been announced. While the first round focused on carers and people with dementia, this round will focus on the need of men. This area was identified as an important theme based on evidence and consultation. Men are often under-represented in services and programming for older people, and consequently can be at high risk of social isolation.
There will be an information session held at Woodhouse Community Centre on 2 June 2016 from 10:00 to 11:45. Please book a place on Eventbrite.
Organisations may apply for between £5,000 and £10,000; all applications must be received by 5pm on Friday 8 July 2016. Guidance and application materials can be downloaded from the Leeds Community Foundation’s Time to Shine page.
The third round of funds will open in November 2016 with a theme of Communication.
