Tuesday 1 December | 10.30am – 12.30pm at Leep1, 26 Roundhay Road, Leeds LS7 1AB
You are invited to join a discussion about a new piece of work to support people over the age of 50 who have a learning disability.
This workshop will help us to develop a user-led specification for the Learning Disability project funded by Time to Shine who will commission this service for five years, starting in April 2016.
About Time to Shine
Leeds is one of the areas that received £6m of Big Lottery funding to deliver a six year programme to combat social isolation in older people. Time to Shine is the overarching name of the programme in Leeds, and this is one of the strands that we want to see delivered.
Share your ideas
We hope you will attend to feed in your ideas. It would especially good to have people there who know anyone aged over 50 with a learning disability, anyone caring for someone with a learning disability who is over 50, or that work for a third organisation that provide services for older people with a learning disability. This is your opportunity to give your views on what should be in the service specification.
Refreshments will be available and a light lunch will be served at 12.30pm – so lots of opportunities for informal networking as well!
If you think you can make it please drop us an email to: info@tenfold.org.uk or call Kath on 07576 952 527.
